Project Description
Lync Energy Sys is an IoT Based System that is used to monitor and control electrical power usage. The system can be connected to a house and usage of electricity can be monitored remotely through one’s phone or computer.
The system comprises of a Small Device that has necessary sensors and actuators that enables users to read the amount of electrical energy that they are using.
Apart from monitoring the electrical consumption it also enables customers to switch on and off different electrical appliances using their smart phone. The system has an android application that helps the users to interact with the system.
Energy Security
The system can effectively help the Management of Electricity. End users will be in control of their electrical usage. And with the Power Saving Mode configuration, Energy can be optimized and all the unnecessary energy wasted during over switching on of geysers, lights, etc will be cut off hence saving a lot of kilowatts per household.
Energy Equity
This system can help in balancing energy accessibility. Since the system helps in conservation or optimizing of Energy Usage, the energy which was to be wasted unnecessarily will then be used by someone somewhere who did not have access to Electricity or due to load shedding.
Job Creation
The system can also help in job creation. Since it is an IoT Based System, it will need technicians and managers of the system in locations where there are more customers. During Installation, an electrical and electronics technician is needed to install the system, programmers are also needed for management and maintenance of the of mobile application together with the database.
